Coalitions and Partnerships

Central to the YWCA mission is our commitment to working in strategic partnership with organizations and community groups striving for racial justice. Working collectively lends more power to our voices and our calls for dignity, equality and power. Like-minded organizations in our community should consider uniting with the YWCA to build new relationships that break down stereotypes and unjust biases.

The YWCA is a safe place for kids after school, a fun place for summer camp, and much, much more. We are also a supportive place for women in transition, an enriching place for seniors, a hopeful place for medically at-risk women, and an open place for courageous action that confronts racism. Our programs have benefited women and their families throughout our community - in profound and life-changing ways - every day since 1901.
